about me

Katie Moritz is a published poet and nonfiction author, and her fiction work has been nominated for a prestigious Pushcart Prize. Katie has over a decade of experience in writing and communication.

 

Prior to her position as the Communications Manager at NEKCV, she served as the Communication Liaison at a 25-bed critical access hospital, an editor of a weekly paper, a manager of an assisted living facility, and an educator for at-risk youth and first-generation college students. While pursuing a master’s degree in writing and literature at Dartmouth College, she founded a graduate student journal, and in turn served as its editor-in-chief.

 

Katie has traveled throughout India, Italy, the Dominican Republic, and the US. She lives in Vermont with her husband, son, dog, and a toothless cat. She is currently working on her first book.
